We want to open the door as widely as possible to share Doug’s work through our Education/Performance Project, created in alliance with college and university dance departments across the country. The Project gives student dancers the opportunity to learn DOVA repertory and be mentored by company dancers in their roles. The culmination of the Project uniquely casts student dancers alongside company members in performance. The company’s Education/Performance Project builds an important dialogue between professional and college dancers and creates an opportunity for detailed learning, delving deep into performance and mentoring skills. The project thrives through close collaboration between Dance Departments and presenting venues, creating a powerful partnership that benefits everyone involved.
